Men in hospital after double stabbing

A police investigation is under way after two men were stabbed.

Emergency services were called to Cornwall Road in Daybrook, Nottinghamshire, at 01:49 BST on Thursday.

Both men - one in his 20s and one in his 30s - were taken to hospital with injuries "not believed to be life-threatening", said Nottinghamshire Police.

No arrests have been made and a police cordon remains in place at the scene.

Det Insp James Oakton said: "We are working to understand what happened in the moments before, during and after this assault and are asking for the public's help in tracking down the person or people responsible.

"We are currently following several lines of inquiry and will continue speaking with local residents today.

"To assist us further we are asking anyone who saw or heard anything of this incident to come forward without delay."
