Man in court over deaths of woman and daughter

A man has appeared in court in charged with causing the deaths of a woman and her four-year-old daughter in Leeds.
Justyna Hulboj, 27, and Lena Czepczor were hit by a car as they walked to nursery along Scott Hall Road on 16 January 2023.
Hardeep Bhachu, 27, of Grant Row, Leeds, has appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court, charged with two counts of causing death by dangerous driving.
He has been released on bail and will next appear at Leeds Crown Court on 27 June.
A second man, Jasskamal Riyat, 35, of Buckstone Avenue, Leeds, is due to appear at Leeds Magistrates Court on 12 June, facing the same charges.
