Funeral choir appeals for more volunteers
- Published
A choir group is looking for new members to join them after a decline in numbers since Covid.
The Jersey Funeral Singers help bereaved families by performing at funeral services in the island.
The choir was started in 2012 by a funeral director in Jersey who helped put out a call for members.
It runs on a voluntary basis and had 50 people when its membership was at its peak.
When the choir gets requested to perform at a funeral, members are emailed and asked if they are able to attend.
Tina Williams, from Jersey Funeral Singers, said: "We just need some more people to come and sing."
