Public urged to avoid area after boat fire on Thames

Firefighters have asked people to "avoid the area" as they tackle a fire on the River Thames.
Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said it was called to a boat fire on the Thames near Staines Bridge mooring on Friday at 18:17 BST.
The service said in a post , externalon X, formerly Twitter, there were three fire boats at the scene, one from SFRS and two from the London Fire Brigade.
It said there were also five fire engines in attendance and asked residents: "Please avoid the area if you can."
