Police have cordoned off a section of land in the Castlemilk area of Glasgow.

BBC Scotland News understands the police operation is in relation to an ongoing investigation.

About half a dozen police vehicles and a number of forensic officers in white hooded overalls were sent to the scene next to the Jenniburn Centre.

There is also a police presence at the nearby Ardenglen community hub.
