Detectives investigating the death of a man in South Lanarkshire have made an arrest.
Iain Kennedy, 32, was found seriously injured in a property on Fairholm Street, Larkhall, at about 22:00 on Saturday.
Mr Kennedy, who lived in the town, was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow where he later died.
Police Scotland said a 27-year-old man has been charged in connection with the death.
The suspect was due to appear before Hamilton Sheriff Court on Monday.
In a statement, Mr Kennedy's family said: "Iain was a much-loved brother, son and friend.
"He will be missed by all who knew him and we would ask that we are given privacy to come to terms with our loss at this time."
Det Insp Mark Dines said: "Our thoughts are with Mr Kennedy's family and friends at this most difficult time. Officers are continuing to provide his family with support."
Chief Insp Neil Smith, local area commander, said additional patrols would be carried out in a bid to reassure the local community.
