Two men have been arrested after a woman in her 20s was killed when a car left the road in Leicestershire.

A black Seat Leon with three people inside left the A6 in Market Harborough and overturned just before 01:30 GMT on Monday.

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and two men who were in the car were taken to hospital after suffering serious injuries.

Leicestershire Police said no other vehicle was involved and appealed for witnesses after officers arrested two men, aged 21 and 19, on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.

Det Con Madeleine Hayes said: "Our investigation to establish the circumstances of what happened is continuing and I'd like to speak to anyone who can help.

"We understand that the car left the centre of Market Harborough and then went on to the A6.

"I'd like to speak to anyone who saw or captured its movements or who witnessed the collision."
