Police appeal over man 'assaulting own guide dog'

Officers are appealing for information after receiving reports a man was seen attacking his own guide dog in Nottingham.

Nottinghamshire Police said they were called by a witness who spotted the incident in Hucknall Road, Carrington, at about 20:10 GMT on Sunday.

An image taken from dashcam footage has been released to help their efforts for members of the public to come forward.

PC Lisa Hopkin said the force was studying dashcam footage of the incident and liaising with the Guide Dogs for the Blind Association to find the suspect.
