Pedestrian 'thrown into the air' in hit-and-run

A 24-year-old man was "thrown into the air" when he was hit by a car, police said.
The man was walking on the pavement along Lincoln Road in Peterborough, near the junction with Windsor Avenue, when he was hit by a dark-coloured Ford Puma.
He was taken to hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries after the incident, which happened at 18:20 BST on 18 June.
Cambridgeshire Police said the driver failed to stop at the scene and appealed for witnesses or dashcam footage to help with the investigation.
