Man, 58, dies after crash involving three cars and bus

A 58-year-old man has died following a crash involving three cars and a bus in North Lanarkshire.
At about 15:25 on Friday, a car collided with the bus and two other cars on Stirling Street in Airdrie town centre.
The 58-year-old driver of the car that collided with the three vehicles was taken to hospital but pronounced dead a short time later.
No other injuries were reported. The road was closed for a short time but has since reopened.
Police Scotland said inquiries into the collision are ongoing.
Sgt Nick Twigg, from Police Scotland's road policing unit, said: "We are appealing for any potential witnesses who are still to speak to officers to please get in touch., external"
