Stop and search order in place in areas of city
Police have temporary, additional stop and search powers in the Washwood Heath and Ward End areas of Birmingham from Friday evening

Serious incidents including a gun being fired in a street have led to police imposing additional stop and search powers in parts of Birmingham overnight.
West Midlands Police is introducing a Section 60 order in the Washwood Heath and Ward End areas of the city from 18:00 BST on Friday until 04:00 BST on Saturday.
The order allows officers to stop and search people without needing to have reasonable grounds to do so.
Recent serious incidents under investigation in the area included a firearms discharge on Ward End Park Road, the force said.
