A nightclub in Cheshire has announced it has closed with immediate effect after 18 years in business.

Nakatcha on Welsh Row, Nantwich cited financial challenges, stating it had proved too difficult to survive any longer in the current economic climate.

The venue, which is billed as a bar, lounge and club, thanked customers "who have danced and partied with us", as well as the hard working staff "who have been amazing throughout".

The decision to permanently close the doors had been made with "deep regret", it added.
