A motorcyclist has died following a crash near Wakefield, police have said.
Emergency services were called at about 19:10 BST on Tuesday following reports of a collision between a motorbike and a car on the A636 Denby Dale Road.
The biker, 45, who had been riding a blue Yamaha, was pronounced dead at the scene, West Yorkshire Police said.
The road was closed overnight at the junction of Denby Dale Road and Branch Road, as investigations continued.
Officers want to hear from witnesses, the force added.
