Police discovered Anthony Scarrott seriously injured at an address in Westcourt Road about 20:20 BST on 11 September.

Mr Scarrott, who was known as Tony, died in hospital on Sunday, Sussex Police said.

A 39-year-old man who had initially been arrested at the property on suspicion of assault has now been arrested on suspicion of murder.
