A driver has been charged with multiple offences after a three-vehicle crash in Nottinghamshire.

Police said four men were injured - two seriously - when a car failed to stop for officers on the A1 near Blyth on Sunday and crashed into two other vehicles.

A 34-year-old man has been charged with causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, fraudulently using a registration mark and theft of a motor vehicle.

Two other men, aged 26 and 59, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit theft.

The force referred itself to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) following the crash.

A spokesperson for the police watchdog said an assessment was being carried out to decide what further action would be required.
