A man has been arrested after a "large-scale" fight outside a pub in Heanor during the early hours of Saturday, police said.

Derbyshire Police said a fight involving a large group of people broke out in the town in Derbyshire just after 00:00 BST, and two men were taken to hospital.

A 35-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident as an investigation continues, the force said.

Part of High Street outside The Red Lion pub, and an area outside the venue, were closed to traffic but have since reopened.
