A man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a shot was fired from a vehicle at a trading estate.
Police were called to the Lufton Trading Estate in Yeovil, Somerset, at 12:45 BST on Wednesday when a firearm was discharged, although no one was hurt in the incident.
A man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder on Friday, Avon and Somerset Police said, while a woman in her 20s was arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. Both are in custody.
Earlier this week police seized a red 4x4 vehicle it is believed the weapon was fired from, and was used by the suspects to flee.
Investigating officers have since been reviewing CCTV footage and carrying out house-to-house inquiries.
Insp Roseanna Green said: "These two arrests mark a step forward in our investigation, which is still continuing.
"We have no information to suggest there is any wider risk to the public, however officers are working tirelessly to ensure we identify the people responsible.
"Extra patrols have been taking place in the area since Wednesday and these will be continuing over the weekend. If you have any questions or concerns, they will be happy to help."
Anyone with any information is asked to contact police.
