Tribute to woman found dead amid murder probe

The family of a 45-year-old woman who was found dead have described her as "loved daughter, sister, mum and aunty".

Angela Shellis was found near Dawson Drive in Prestatyn, Denbighshire, where police officers were called at about 08:40 BST on Friday.

An 18-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder remains in custody, North Wales Police said.

The force urged the public not to speculate about the incident online and appealed for witnesses who were on football fields in the area between 03:00 and 08:30 to come forward.

"Angela was a loved daughter, sister, mum and aunty and will be sadly missed," Ms Shellis' family said in a statement.

Det Ch Insp Andy Gibson said: “The family are being supported by specialist trained officers and ask their privacy is respected during this tragic time.

"Whether you believe you have anything of significance to offer the investigation, it is imperative that we identify any persons in the area during these key times."
