A man has been airlifted to hospital after getting stuck in mud at Shinewater Park in Eastbourne.
An HM Coastguard spokesperson said they had assisted in taking the man who had sustained a leg injury to hospital by helicopter on Friday evening.
The A22 Highfield Link southbound, from the Stone Cross roundabout to the Shinewater roundabout, was blocked as emergency services attended the scene, according to traffic monitoring site Inrix.
Sussex Police and East Sussex Fire & Rescue have been approached for comment.
