Man dies after being seriously hurt in work accident

Police said inquiries were ongoing

A man who was seriously injured in a work accident in Orkney has died.

The incident happened in Finstown, near building merchant Allans Of Gillock, on Friday.

The man was taken to Aberdeen Royal Infirmary for treatment, but later died.

Police Scotland said inquiries were ongoing to establish the full circumstances. A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
