The Paris Olympic Games 2024 is drawing to a close and what a fortnight it has been for our local athletes.

From Cheshire's Bryony Page scooping Great Britain's first trampoline Olympic gold to Wolverhampton's Matt Hudson-Smith getting silver in the men's 400m, athletes from our region have shone on the world stage.

As we head into the penultimate day of the tournament, we have rounded up some photo highlights of our local Olympians.

You can keep up to date with live coverage of the tournament across the BBC on TV, radio and online.
