Arrest after 'unexplained' death of a child

Police are investigating the death of a child in Grimsby.

Humberside Police said officers were in attendance on Duncombe Street on Monday following "the death of an infant" on Wednesday 29 May.

A police statement said: "A person has been arrested as a part of the investigation, as officers look into the circumstances surrounding the death which is currently being treated as unexplained.

"They have since been released on bail whilst enquiries continue."
