Rescue centre dogs get spooky for Halloween

"Forget ghosts and skeletons—what’s really frightening this Halloween is the number of dogs in need of loving homes," an animal charity has said.
Dogs Trust Kenilworth was forced to close for three weeks in September after an outbreak of parvovirus, a potentially fatal dog virus.
The rescue centre reopened at the end of September, but it meant delays in finding some of their dogs homes, with demand for the rescue centre's services rising.
To help find forever homes for some of their dogs, the Warwickshire rescue took atmospheric Halloween photos of some of its residents.
Emma-Jane Thomas, manager at Dogs Trust Kenilworth, said: "Right now, we have 137 dogs in our care, and with demand for our services rising, Dogs Trust is busier than ever.
"Since our temporary closure, we've been working to find forever homes for our dogs as we head into winter.
"We want to see as many of our dogs find loving homes before Christmas as possible."
She added: "We’d like anyone looking to welcome a dog into their lives to come and visit us at the centre, meet our dogs, and help them all find a happy place in a new home in time for Christmas."
