Four-car collision shuts M25 stretch in rush hour

Drivers have been told to allow extra journey time if travelling in the area

Rush hour drivers have been warned of lengthy delays after a collision involving four cars on a motorway.
The anti-clockwise M25 was closed at the junction 17 Maple Cross Interchange, in Hertfordshire, at about 05:35 BST.
National Highways said seven miles (11km) of congestion built up before the road reopened at about 07:15.
"Please continue to allow extra journey time this morning," it posted on X, external.
