Man dies after car crashes into lorry in lay-by

A man has died after the car he was driving collided with a lorry parked in a lay-by on the A14.

Cambridgeshire Police were called on Sunday, at about 17:15 BST, to reports that a Skodia Fabia crashed into a Volvo HGV which was parked in a lay-by near Swaffham Bulbeck, between junctions 37 and 36.

The Skoda driver, a man in his 60s from Cambridge, died at the scene. The lorry driver received minor injuries.

Officers are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information or dashcam footage in the run up to the incident to get in touch.
