Fire crews used hoses and aerial ladders to tackle a fire in a chimney in Kent on Wednesday night.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service was called to East Hill, in Dartford, to reports of a chimney fire at a residential property.

Crews used three fire engines, a "height vehicle", a hose reel jet and chimney firefighting kit to put the fire out.

Firefighters removed loose bricks from the chimney stack to make the scene safe.

There were no reported injuries and the fire was believed to be accidental.
