Planned closures for the A63 Castle Street in Hull next week are no longer going ahead, National Highways said.
"Good progress" had been made on the central reserve works, so the planned closures for 24 – 28 March were no longer required, they said.
National Highways said further overnight closures will be in place on weeknights during April and May in both directions between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way.
They apologised for any disruption but said that some disturbance was unavoidable during this "complex phase" of the scheme.

The A63 closures will be in both directions between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way.
Castle Street is undergoing a £355m redesign that involves lowering the level of the A63 to create an underpass.
Work had been due to be completed by April 2025, but highways bosses said they were now working towards a completion date of spring 2026.
