Armed police called to suspected robbery

Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following the incident in Exeter

Armed police were called after a man had a Rolex watch and cash stolen from him in Exeter.

Police were despatched after reports that a man had been approached and threatened by a stranger in Haven Road at 22:30 BST, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

The force said a 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of robbery at the scene but has since been released from custody and eliminated from enquiries.

The suspect police are searching for is described as a man who was wearing black jogging bottoms, a black Nike hoodie and black shoes. Anyone with information has been asked to contact police.
