Three electric bikes collectively worth nearly £20,000 have been stolen from a garage in west Devon, police have said.

The burglary took place place at a rural property in Venton near Drewsteignton between 01:00 and 02:00 BST on Wednesday, Devon and Cornwall Police said.

They said thieves had taken a midnight green Santa Cruz Vala e-bike, an avocado green Santa Cruz Heckler bike and a mint green Specialized Levo bike.

Officers said they suspected a van had been used to transport the e-bikes and asked anyone with information or relevant CCTV or doorbell camera footage to contact them.

Sgt Tom Ottley added: "We would also like to hear from anyone who has been offered any of these high-value e-bikes for sale."
