Man on attempted murder charge after knife attack

A man has been charged with attempted murder after another man was stabbed in the neck and face in Ilfracombe, say police.
The victim, aged in his 30s, was attacked in the High Street, said officers who were called just before 19:00 BST on 10 September.
The accused, who is aged in his 50s and from Ilfracombe, was arrested and has been charged with attempted murder and possession of a knife or bladed article in a public place, said the Devon and Cornwall force.
He is due to appear at Exeter Crown Court on 10 October.
The injured man was taken to hospital with knife wounds to the neck and face, but has since been discharged, said police.
Officers are asking anyone with dash cam or CCTV footage that covers the area outside the Spin Studio 20 and Jhoots Pharmacy around the time of the incident to get in touch.
