A Brighton theatre has cancelled a performance of a play starring Catherine Tate.

The Theatre Royal posted on Facebook that Thursday's matinee performance of The Enfield Haunting would be called off.

The play is based on the story of a family who claimed their north London council house was haunted by a supernatural force.

A statement from the theatre said "technical requirements" were "no longer able to go ahead" but "all other performances are due to go ahead as scheduled".
