Man dies after being hit by car on A31

A man has died after he was hit by a car on the A31 in Hampshire.
Police said the man, who was in his 20s and from Ringwood, had been driving a Vauxhall Astra van which hit the central reservation on the westbound carriageway at about 03:05 BST.
The man got out of the van but was then hit by a Range Rover and was pronounced dead at the scene, said Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary. His family has been informed.
The westbound stretch of the A31 between Cadnam and Ringwood was closed after the incident and reopened at about 10:00. No arrests have been made.
