Three people have been arrested after a reported chemical incident at a property in East Sussex.
Emergency services were called to a disturbance at the property in Grand Parade, Brighton, at about 23:00 BST on Friday.
The building was evacuated after it was reported an incident involving ammonia had taken place inside.
Two men and a woman, all of whom police said were known to each other, were arrested and taken to hospital.
One of the men, aged 32 and from Brighton, has been discharged.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent, criminal damage and assault of an emergency worker, said Sussex Police. He remains in custody.
The other man and the woman remain in hospital. They are not thought to be seriously injured, the force said.
Firefighters, police, paramedics and a hazardous materials team attended the scene on Friday night.
A temporary road closure was put in place between the junctions of Richmond Parade and Morley Street.
The roads have now reopened and police said there was no wider risk to the public.
