Woman in court charged with baby daughter's murder

Police said Sarah Ngaba, 30, was due before magistrates on 6 May

A woman charged of murdering her two-year-old daughter has appeared in court.
Eliza Ngaba died on 15 August 2022 at the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford, Shropshire, after being injured in November 2019.
Sarah Ngaba, 30, of Briarwood,Telford, was charged by West Mercia Police last week.
She appeared before Telford Magistrates' Court on Tuesday via video-link from HMP Foston Hall in Derbyshire, where she was told she would be remanded in custody to appear before Stafford Crown Court on Wednesday.
Ngaba sat with her arms crossed behind a table. She was wearing a grey sweatshirt and spoke only to confirm she could hear proceedings and to say "thank you" after district judge Ian Barnes addressed her during the three-minute hearing.
