Fire crews work to free man trapped under lorry

A man has suffered life-changing injuries after being trapped under a lorry in Warwickshire, police said.

Emergency services were called to the junction between Leicester Road and Brownsover Road in Rugby at about 8:10 GMT.

Three appliances attended the scene.

The fire service said crews were there for about 50 minutes and "worked to free the casualty who was delivered into the care of the West Midlands Ambulance Service".

The incident led to traffic build up on Leicester Road, Warwickshire Police added.
