Woman pleads not guilty to palace bomb hoax

A woman has denied making a threat over a hoax bomb at Buckingham Palace.
Diane Durham, of Church Lane in Pudsey, is accused of knowingly providing false information to the Metropolitan Police about a bomb being carried on a train to the palace on 17 May.
Ms Durham, who appeared at Leeds Magistrates' Court without a lawyer, told the court she accepted she had posted on social media and tagged the police force, but pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The 62-year-old was bailed to appear at Leeds Crown Court on 4 November for a pre-trial hearing.
Ms Durham told the court she wanted to emphasise the post had stated the train's passengers "would be safe".
The judge said he strongly advised Ms Durham to engage a solicitor before her next court appearance.
