New office to push Channel Islands links in France

An organisation that promotes the interests of the Channel Islands in France has opened a second office.

The Bureau des Iles Anglo-Normandes opened the hot desk in St Malo in a ceremony attended by Jersey's Economy Minister Kirsten Morel and Loig Chesnais-Girard, President of the Brittany region.

The bureau, which has another office in the port city of Caen, was set up in 2014 to represent the governments of Guernsey and Jersey in France.

In said Brittany was "committed to develop more sustainable links" with the Channel Islands.
