Roads to close for resurfacing works

Diversions will be in place while the works take place, Shropshire Council said

Resurfacing works across Shropshire will lead to road closures in the coming weeks, Shropshire Council has announced.

The A41 will close at Hinstock from Monday, with both the A41 Newport Road and Wood Lane shut between 09:30 and 16:00 GMT until 1 November.

A stretch of the A525 will shut from Tilstock Road roundabout to Prees Road roundabout for resurfacing works.

The work will begin on 4 November and finish on 8 November, with closures in place between 09:30 and 16:00.

Signed diversions will be in place for both schemes, Shropshire Council said, adding that depending on the type of vehicle, some drivers would be able to use an alternative route.

The local authority said access to the works area would be limited to local residents, businesses, pedestrians, dismounted cyclists and emergency vehicles.

It also asked drivers not to park on the road during the day whilst the work is in progress.
