Rail disruption after car crashes onto track in Perthshire

Rail services on the Highland Main Line have been disrupted after a car crashed onto the track between Perth and Dunkeld.

The incident was reported shortly before 05:30 close to Murthly Sawmill near Dunkeld.

Network Rail Scotland said a recovery team were at the site and the car was lifted clear of the track at about 09:30.

The company said the track was not damaged and the line would reopen at 10:00

ScotRail said replacement bus services were in place while the line was closed.
