A man has been charged after two police officers were injured in a crash.

Thames Valley Police said the crash, involving a silver Ford Galaxy, happened on the A4 Berkeley Avenue, Reading on Sunday at about 06:20 BST. The two officers suffered minor injuries.

The force said Don Tafara Godwin, 32, from the town, had been charged with assaulting an emergency worker, dangerous driving, and driving a motor vehicle while over the legal alcohol limit.

He remains in custody, and was due to appear at Reading Magistrates' Court on Monday.
