Teenager charged after death of elderly pedestrian

An 18-year-old has been charged following a fatal crash.
The emergency services were called on Tuesday at 14:30 GMT to a collision between a white Nissan GTR and a pedestrian on Church Road in Felixstowe, Suffolk.
The pedestrian, a woman aged in her 70s, was taken to Ipswich Hospital by land ambulance, where she died.
Lewis Meadows, of Cliff Road, Felixstowe, has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates' Court.
He has also been charged with aggravated vehicle taking, failing to stop after a collision, using a motor vehicle without insurance and failing to report a collision.
Police continue to appeal for information.
