Man injured in suspected gas explosion

A man has been injured after a suspected gas explosion at a house in Preston.
Windows were blown out of the end-terrace property in Gillett Street following the blast at about 22:20 GMT on Saturday.
The man suffered burns and was taken to hospital for treatment.
Some neighbouring houses were evacuated.
“I think there was more concern for the occupant – as long as he’s ok, that’s the main thing," a neighbour told the BBC.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said it had worked with gas firm Cadent to make the scene safe, and launched a joint investigation with Lancashire Police.
Structural engineers are due to carry out an inspection of the house on Sunday.
