Man hit by car suffers life-threatening injuries

A man has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.
The pedestrian was struck by a Ford Focus on Rowland Road in Scunthorpe at around 05:15 GMT on Saturday.
Humberside Police said a 59-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury by careless driving and remains in police custody.
The force are appealing to anyone with information or dashcam footage of the incident to contact them.
