Rail passengers are facing disruption after engineering works overran.
South Western Railway (SWR) said the works between Totton and Brockenhurst had been completed and all lines reopened.
Specialist teams were sent to the site to fix the issue which left trains unable to run on the line towards Bournemouth.
SWR said trains on the route were expected to be delayed, cancelled or revised until 12:00 GMT and rail tickets for affected journeys can be used on Bluestar buses.
Routes affected:
Between Basingstoke / London Waterloo / Southampton Central / Winchester and Bournemouth
Between Southampton Central and Poole / Weymouth
