An 18-year-old man has died after a car he was travelling in left a road and collided with a tree.

Thames Valley Police said it was called to the A40 in Stokenchurch, Buckinghamshire, close to the junction with Kingston Hill, at about 23:12 GMT on Wednesday.

The teenager was pronounced dead at the scene, the force added.

Two other men, aged 17 and 20, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Investigating officer PC Cameron Duffy said the man's next of kin have been informed.

"We are carrying out inquiries and would ask anyone who may have witnessed this collision or who may have dashcam footage to please get in touch."
