People who went to a town's Pride event have been thanked for the "great turnout".

West Northamptonshire Council said it was "filled with happiness and joy" following the success of the event in Northampton.

Members of the public were invited to join the parade which went from the University to the town centre and back again.

This was the seventh Northampton Pride celebrating LGBTQ+ culture and community.
