Man with life-changing injuries after collison

A motorcyclist in his mid-20s has suffered life-changing injuries in a collision in Plymouth, police have said.

Devon and Cornwall Police said they were called to Hyde Park Road, Peverell, at 06:35 on Saturday.

A male rider of a Suzuki motorcycle was involved in a collision with a white Toyota, and the road was closed.

A cordon remains in place at the scene and people have been asked by police to avoid the area.

A man has been taken to hospital

Firefighters were called to tackle a small fuel spillage at the scene, police said.

The force has urged witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact them.
