A 12-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of common assault and arson after a man was racially abused.
Avon and Somerset Police said officers were called to reports of an altercation on Dunster Crescent in Weston-super-Mare at 19:00 BST on Monday.
A second call was received at 22:29 BST after a person was seen throwing an object at a parked car, which then caught fire.
The boy has been released on police bail, alongside a 34-year-old man and a 37-year-old woman, both from Weston, who were earlier arrested.
The man was arrested on suspicion of racially-aggravated assault and arson, while the woman was arrested a woman on suspicion of racially-aggravated public order.
Ch Insp Jonathan Murray said: “We continue to keep the victim updated and supported as our investigation progresses.
“If you were in the area at the time and saw anything – or have any footage – which could help our investigation, please contact us,'" he added.
