Church to be partly demolished as home plan approved
The former Woodborough Baptist Church will be converted into a home under new plans

A church in Nottinghamshire that dates back to 1831 is set to be converted into a family home after plans were approved.
The former Baptist church in Shelt Hill, Woodborough, will be partially demolished to allow the new project to take shape.
Concerns were raised over the history of the building by the local parish council, which said the first minister of the parish, William Clay, was buried beneath the chapel in 1849.
However, Gedling Borough Council planning officers approved the project on Friday.
The current property, which was last used as a place of worship in October 2023, is in an L shape and surrounded by a courtyard.
Plans show part of the church would be demolished to make way for work, which would extend the property into the ground below the current site.
The new home would feature three bedrooms, three bathrooms and a kitchen/diner with a double height ceiling.
A council conservation officer said the plans would "not be harmful" to the character or appearance of the surrounding area.
