The Prince of Wales has been seen bonding over a pint with Eugene Levy after the Schitt's Creek and American Pie star was invited to "pop down" to Windsor Castle for a private tour, a clip from the actor's travel show reveals.

In a new episode of his Apple TV+ series The Reluctant Traveler With Eugene Levy, the comic actor is seen arriving in London before receiving a written invitation from Prince William.

After a tour of the castle, Levy goes for a walk with William and his dog and asks him what he does when he is at home; to which William laughs then replies: "Sleep.

"When you have three small children, sleep is an important part of my life."

'Hardest year'

The episode, entitled Living The Royal Life In The UK, also finds the prince opening up to the Canadian about how 2024 was the "hardest year I've ever had."

"Life is said to test us as well and being able to overcome that is what makes us who we are," says Prince William.

He has previously talked about how he has coped after both his wife and his father were diagnosed with cancer last year.

Last year was a good year for Levy - who co-created the comedy series Schitt's Creek with his son Daniel - as he was joined by his "second son" Jason Biggs to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 25 years after they starred together in American Pie.

He also got emotional while tracing his Glasgow roots on the show, which finds the 78-year-old actor and comedian ticking off items on his travel bucket list.

Aside from the royal, the upcoming season also features Levy's daughter and fellow Schitt's Creek actor Sarah Levy, singer Michael Buble and former India cricketer Rahul Dravid, as well as K-Pop boy band NOWZ.

The episode with Prince William airs on 3 October.
